Welcome to prelink
prelink is an ever evolving, web based, laboratory information management system.
Our focus is placed on providing a modern system that automates business processes, speeds up turn around times, reduces human errors, improves client and patient communication and gives staff more time to concentrate on areas that require their attention and not old, outdated, manual processes and/or processing.
prelink has been in use at multiple national pathology laboratories in South Africa for over a decade. It has spread to pathology laboratories in Namibia and clinical trials research in Malawi. It has also been deployed at large corporates that do in-house employee testing programmes.
prelink is constantly changing as clients needs and business processes change.
From receiving paperless, electronic requests via various interfaces and API’s exposed to external systems, to communicating directly with specimen testing analysers via Serial or TCP/IP, to automatic department sign off and automatic doctor/client and/or patient/guarantor reporting via SMS and/or email, to automatic electronic data interchange (EDI) to several external systems like practice management system, hospital management systems, life insurance companies, medical aid systems, and automatic configurable, communicable disease reporting to the National Institute For Communicable Diseases (NICD) for all their notifiable medical conditions across the various category levels.
prelink specialises in diagnostic specimen testing across multiple departments such as Biochemistry, Haematology, Histology, etc. It also has a unique Microbiology module built according to a large clinical trials research client. The various departments are configurable and can be reported in various ways. Our result reports can, depending on client preference, display a QR code that can be used to verify the authenticity of each result report that is sent out to the doctor(s)/client(s) and/or patient(s)/guarantor(s).
prelink also includes functionality that allows the laboratory to batch create requests or upload multiple requests from a file when they come from various sources such as veterinary clinics, corporates, referral laboratories, etc.
